Mahoroba

Mahoroba まほろば

Mahoroba is an old Japanese word for “a splendid place” that first appeared in the Kojiki, the oldest extant chronicle in Japan. In this website, we use the term for the many splendid burial mounds, Shinto shrines, and Buddhist temples in our beloved city. We hope our city will be known as mahoroba also in the far future.
